THE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE IN COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS - (CEX)
Established in 1997 by the South Dakota Legislature
The primary goal of the Center of Excellence in Computer Information Systems is to prepare graduates who can take the lead in the development and application of information technology tools in business, industry, government and education.
To graduate from the Center of Excellence, students must complete an 18-credit hours minor from the approved list of Center of Excellence courses. The Center of Excellence minor must include 6 credit hours at the 400-level, with some of the 400-level credits earned in a capstone experience course (either from the approved list or from the studentís program of study).
How do you qualify for the program?
As an incoming student to DSU acceptance into the program is possible by way of a composite score of 24 or higher on the ACT.
As a continuing student or transfer student you must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher
