Development of the 2002 web page for the Center of Excellence.

Wireless Network for Dakota State University

Dakota State University is South Dakota's first public university to implement a campus wide wireless network. The wireless network will consist of Cisco 350 series access points, tested and mounted by the members of the Center of Excellence.

By the 2002 - 2003 school year Dakota State University had wireless access to all of the academic buildings on campus.

Web Site Design 2002

The following students created the website archived here. They have put many months of work into this project, and fine-tuned every detail to make all the pages in this site fall together with ease. A big Thank you to the hard work, dedication, and patience of these individuals.

Matthew Larson - Matthew took on the task of creating the "Prospects" page, which is for students interested in joining the Center of Excellence. For someone who had never worked with Dreamweaver (a program for creating web pages), he did an excellent job of teaching himself and creating the finished product you will find on the Prospects page.

Mathew Lehmann - Mathew's portion of the Website was to create the "Devices" page. In it you will be able to see the new technology that is offered to Center of Excellence students, and how to use each device. Mathew researched all the information on the Devices page.

Erik Osterkamp - The "Members" page was created by Erik. Of all the pages, this was probably the most difficult and frustrating on to create. Not because of the level of difficulty, but because he had to collect information and pictures from 55 other people. Check out what his patience, dedication organization has produced on the Member page.

Jon Waldman - The "Faculty" page was the responsibility of Jon. This page contains names and pictures of the Center of Excellence Faculty and links to their homepages and E-mail addresses. You can check out this information on the Faculty page.

Andrew Zimmer - Andrew accepted the responsibility of the "Symposium" page where you'll find write-ups on the presenters and on the event itself. You will also find a schedule of events for the day. If you can't make it to the symposium, you can watch a live broadcast of the events through a link Andrew created on the Symposium page.

Jessica Wipf - Jessica's task was to document the creation of the new Center of Excellence web site. Jessica had to gather information on what everyone was doing and how they went about doing it.

*A special thanks to Eric Schneider, who has overseen this entire project. Organizing everything, and making sure everyone was informed and included on what was going on. His many, many dedicated hours to this project are not unnoticed. He is a hard worker and is incredibly talented. The Center of Excellence and Dakota State University is fortunate to have him as a Member and Student. Thanks, Eric, for all your work.
